Dr. Christine Mbabazi Mpyangu is a Lecturer in the Department of Religion and Peace Studies, School of Liberal and Performing Arts in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Makerere University. She holds a PhD in Science of Religion from the School of Mission and Theology, Stavanger, Norway and teaches Psychology of Religion, Gender, Peace and Conflict, and Introductory courses in Biblical Studies (Introduction to Bible I and II). Christine’s current research interests include: Child soldiering, female child soldiers, violence against children, reintegration, conflict and post-conflict contexts, peace building, sexual violence and ritual studies, Borderland dynamics, Primary Prevention of Violence against children, Refugee dynamics and  resilience studies. Dr. Mpyangu is passionate about students’ transition from higher education to work and currently coordinates Field Attachment (Internship) in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences. She possesses strong diplomatic skills in dealing with people from a variety of cultural, religious and gender perspectives.
